Kataoka's work is "painting to decorate in everyday life" as she is strongly aware of this as well.　In other words, it is "painting as interior".

It is a painting casually decorated in any room or space of any environment.

Which picture should be decorated in my room,　You can excite your mind and choose.

「部屋は日常生活に多くの時間を費やしています。ここで楽しい絵を飾ることができれば、より快適な日を送ることはできないでしょうか。私はそのような考えから作品を制作しています。」

片岡の描く作品は「日常生活に飾るための絵画」として本人もこれを強く意識し制作されています。言い換えるならば「インテリアとしての絵画」です。どんな環境のどんな部屋や空間にも気軽に飾れる絵画です。

自分の部屋に飾るのならばどれにしようと、胸を躍らせ選びながら鑑賞できる展示会となります。
