Deno Yuji was aiming to become a cartoonist by appreciating a lot of MANGA and animation from young age.
However, he has turned to an artist to express loose and comical feelings of Japanese culture from their own perspective.
At this exhibition, we show off the possibility of new expressions based on the feeling he got while reading and drawing MANGA.
幼い頃より漫画、アニメをたくさん鑑賞し、漫画家になることを志していた経歴を持つでのゆうじの2回目の個展となります。
本展示会では 日本文化のゆるさや滑稽さを独自の視点から表現した作品群が並びます。
漫画雑誌のページの上に歪めた自画像を描く《あいあむじゃぱにーずぼーい》シリーズをはじめ、架空の打ち切り漫画の最終ページを描く《俺たちの戦いはこれからだ！！》シリーズなど、 漫画を読み描く中で手に入れた感覚を元に、新たなる表現の可能性を披露します。
